Additional information

Hydrolysis of allyl glycidyl ether was tested in a guideline study following EU method C.7. At a temperature of 65 °C the half-lives were determined to be 243, 324 and 171 hours at pH values of 4, 7 and 9, respectively. The hydrolysis product expected by the opening of the epoxide ring is allyl (2,3-dihydroxypropyl) ether which is considered to be readily biodegradable.
