First-aid measures
4.1. Description of first aid measures
First aid personnel should pay attention to their own safety. If the patient is likely to become unconscious, place and transport in stable sideways position (recovery position). Immediately remove contaminated clothing. Show container, label and/or safety data sheet to physician.
If inhaled:
Keep patient calm, remove to fresh air, seek medical attention. Fresh air. Delayed effects possible after inhalation. Inform emergency services.
On skin contact:
Immediately wash thoroughly with soap and water, seek medical attention. Remove contaminated clothing immediately and clean before re-use or dispose it if necessary.
On contact with eyes:
Wash affected eyes for at least 15 minutes under running water with eyelids held open, consult an eye specialist.
On ingestion:
Immediately rinse mouth and then drink 200-300 ml of water, seek medical attention.
4.2. Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Symptoms: Overexposure may cause:, headache, dizziness, respiratory disorders, nausea, acidosis, coma, blindness, Further symptoms are possible
Hazards: Risk of respiratory disorders. Risk of blindness.
4.3. Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
Treatment: Symptomatic treatment (decontamination, vital functions). Medical monitoring for at least 24-48 hours.
Fire-fighting measures
5.1. Extinguishing media
Suitable extinguishing media:
water spray, dry powder, carbon dioxide, alcohol-resistant foam
5.2. Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture

The substances/groups of substances mentioned can be released in case of fire. Vapours may form explosive mixture with air.
5.3. Advice for fire-fighters
Special protective equipment:
Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical-protective clothing.
Further information:
Collect contaminated extinguishing water separately, do not allow to reach sewage or effluent systems. If exposed to fire, keep containers cool by spraying with water. Dispose of fire debris and contaminated extinguishing water in accordance with official regulations
Accidental release measures
An explosive atmosphere can be formed in the case of a spillage. If large amounts are released contact the fire service.
6.1. Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Use personal protective clothing. Information regarding personal protective measures, see section 8. Keep unprotected persons away. Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid all sources of ignition: heat, sparks, open flame. Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and clothing. Avoid inhalation. Take off immediately all contaminated clothing.
6.2. Environmental precautions
Discharge into the environment must be avoided. Suppress gases/vapours/mists with water spray jet. Prevent entry into sewage systems, ground and surface waters.
6.3. Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
For small amounts: Contain with absorbent material (e.g. sand, silica gel, acid binder, general purpose binder, sawdust).
For large amounts: Pump off product.
Cleaning operations should be carried out only while wearing breathing apparatus. To clean the floor and all objects contaminated by this material, use plenty of water. Collect waste in suitable containers, which can be labeled and sealed. Incinerate or take to a special waste disposal site in accordance with local authority regulations.

Handling and storage
7.1. Precautions for safe handling
Ensure thorough ventilation of stores and work areas. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Remove contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering eating areas. Hands and/or face should be washed before breaks and at the end of the shift. When using do not eat, drink or smoke. Adequate extraction of the vapours is necessary when working with open containers. When filling, transferring, or emptying of containers, adequate local exhaust ventilation is necessary.
Protection against fire and explosion:
If exposed to fire, keep containers cool by spraying with water. Vapours may form explosive mixture with air. Prevent electrostatic charge - sources of ignition should be kept well clear - fire extinguishers should be kept handy. Containers should be earthed during decanting operations.
7.2. Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Further information on storage conditions: Keep container tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place. Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking.
