Description of key information

The boiling point of 2,3-epoxypropyl neodecanoate was determined by experimental measurment and QSAR estimation to range from 269 to 272 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
542 K

Additional information

The boiling point of 2,3-epoxypropyl neodecanoate was determined by measurment to be 484 -491 °C. An O.E.C.D. QSAR Toolbox estimation suggested that the boliling point of 2,3 -epoxypropyl neodecanoate was somewhat lower at 272 degrees C.

The test substance, boiling point was also determined by an O.E.C.D. test guideline 103 differential scanning calorimetry method. The boiling point determined by this method was 269 ± 0.5 °C and is in agreement with the QSAR determined value.
