Description of key information

Hydrolysis endpoint filled by an OECD 111 Hydrolysis test.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life for hydrolysis:
9.9 d
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

2,3 -Epoxypropyl neodecanoate was demonstrated by both QSAR modeling and experimental results to have a relatively rapid rate of photodegradation in the atmosphere. Photodegradtion half-lifes were determined to be 0.9 - 1.1 days. In an O.E.C.D. test guideline no. 111 study, the test substance was shown to have an experimental abiotic hydrolysis half-life of 8.8 to 9.8 days at 25 degrees C. The primary hydrolysis product was the 2,3 -diol.
