Description of key information

The partition coefficient of Dimethyl(propyl)amine is 1.32 at 23°C and pH 11.0

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):
1.32
at the temperature of:
23 °C

Additional information

In a GLP guideline study according to OECD 107 (Partition Coefficient (n-octanol / water), Shake Flask Method) the log Kow of Dimethyl propylamine (CAS 926-63-6) was experimentally determined to be 1.32 at 23 °C and pH 11.

The experimental result is supported by an additional calculation using the KOWWIN v1.68 estimation model (implemented in EPISuite v4.11). Refering to the uncharged molecule the log Kow was calculated to be 1.02 at 25 °C.
