Additional information

Two non-GLP studies were conducted in a closed cup using the Pensky-Martens apparatus. The older study determined the flash point of thioglycol to be 174°C at 1013 hPa an the lastet study determined the flash point to be 165 °C at 1013.25 hPa. The GESTIS database reported the flash point of thioglycol to be 160 °C.The value from the latest study was regarded to be the most reliable one for the flash point and was chosen as key value.
