Additional information

A study was conducted similar to OECD 107 to determine the partition coefficient of thioglykol. Using the flask method the partition coefficient was determined to be -0,75 at 25°C. Furthermore a literature review was conducted. The Hazardous Substances Data Bank (HSDB) reported the partition coefficient to be -0.63 as an experimental value. The International Programme on Chemical Safety (IPCS) reported the partiotion coefficient to be -0.75. They are all regarded to be reliable for thioglycol. The value from the study was chosen as the most reliable one for the partition coefficient.
