Description of key information

The auto-ignition temperature of the test substance is determined to be 245 °C at 1013 hPa.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
245 °C

Additional information

A study was conducted equivalent or similar to Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 method A.15 using DIN 51794. The auto-ignition temperature of the test substance was determined to be 245°C at 1013 hPa. Several reliable authoritative secondary sources reported the flash point of thiodiglykol as result from experimental studies to be between 260 °C and 298°C. In a worst-case view the result from the study was chosen as key value for the auto-ignition temperature.
