Any other information on results incl. tables

The minimum and maximum parameters measured during the test were:

• pH: 8.10 and 9.24 (8.11 to 9.15 for the control),

• temperature: 23.4°C and 25.0°C,

• lighting: 7.020 lux and 7580 lux.

All validity criteria of the study were respected for each test.

No significant (p = 0.05) inhibition of the algal growth was observed at 100 mg/L and the measured concentrations of the test item were within ± 20% of this nominal value throughout the test.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Validity criteria fulfilled:
yes
Conclusions:
In a 72-hour algal growth inhibition test with Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, the EC50 of Sodium Valproate was > 100 mg/L based on growth rate (ErC50) and growth (EbC50).
The NOEC was ≥ 100 mg/L.
