Endpoint:
flash point of flammable liquids
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the flash point is only relevant to liquids and low melting point solids

Description of key information

In accordance with section 1 of REACH Annex XI the study on flash point does not need to be conducted. By definition, the flash point is the lowest temperature at which a liquid evolves vapours in such an amount that a flammable vapour / air mixture is produced. CBS is a solid at ambient temperature with a melting point in between of 94-103°C. Therefore, the hazard of the flash point is described by the flammability.
