Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Skin sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no study available
Additional information:

There are no data on skin sensitisation available for bis(2-ethylhexyl) hydrogen phosphate.

Bis(2-ethylhexyl) hydrogen phosphate is classifed as C, R34 (corrosive, causes burns). Studies for sensitisation are therefore scientifically not justified and are precluded on grounds of animal welfare.

Justification for classification or non-classification

No studies are available for skin sensitisation of bis(2-ethylhexyl) hydrogen phosphate. Studies for skin sensitisation are excluded due to the corrosive properties of bis(2-ethylhexyl) hydrogen phosphate. No evidence for a sensitisation potential for this class of chemical substances (phosphorous acid ester) exist. Due to the structure of bis(2-ethylhexyl) hydrogen phosphate a sensitisation is unlikely and a classification not justified.
