Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Contact with Eyes
Immediately wash out with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes
Irrigate eye thoroughly whilst lifting lid
Obtain immediate medical attention
Contact with Skin
Remove contaminated clothing immediately and wash affected skin with soap and water
Ingestion
Rinse mouth with water (do not swallow) and avoid further exposure
Inhalation
Remove patient to fresh air
Fire-fighting measures
Circumstances/Cond itions Exposure Hazards Personal
In severe fire situations toxic or irritant vapours could be released
Wear respiratory protection, PVC suit, PVC gloves and boots
Protective Equipment
Extinguishing Media:
Primary Dry powder, CO2 foam or water
Accidental release measures
Minor Releases
Personal Protection
Normal workwear, safety glasses, PVC gloves, dust mask
Environmental Protection
Do not allow material to enter drains or water course
Spill Control Guidance
Avoid raising dust, vacuum or sweep up and place into containers for disposal
Decontamination
Do not wash down drains
Maior Releases
Personal Protection
Normal workwear
Environmental Protection
A major spillage of DCDPS does not present a severe environmental or personal hazard.
Spill Control Guidance
Contain the spillage and prevent wind born dust which could form a dust cloud or cause nuisance
Decontamination
Do not wash down drains
